GENERAL INFORMATION

LOCATION:

Convenient location, just 4 miles north of Shawan Road and the Hunt Valley Mall. The property is located in a quiet tranquil setting, but only minutes from major work centers and shopping, including the Hunt Valley Towne Centre, Wegmans Grocery store, and the Metro Light Rail Line.

This unique property has a storied history. In 1813 Dickinson Gorsuch and his brother, John began the Mill, known as Ensor Mill, which was later followed by the Gorsuch Tavern. The Mill suffered a disastrous fire in 1969, but sawmill operations continued for several years after the property was acquired by the current owners. In the mid 1970's, the property was converted into a tennis club known as The Club at Ensor Mill. The mill was converted into a home (the current residence), and the property was transformed into a recreational facility with tennis, boating, fishing, volleyball, hiking, swimming, etc. Due to the ill health and eventual passing of the current owner, the recreational facilities have not been maintained over the past several years and are run down. However, the site could easily be rejuvenated. It would be ideal for a luxury residence or residences, equestrian use, possible minor subdivision or a possible retreat or camp facility.
