1 Chester Avenue is located in the Eastport neighborhood of Annapolis, proximate to the Horn Point subdivision, a short walk from the downtown Annapolis Historic District. Eastport is an historic maritime community, sometimes referred to as the Maritime Republic of Eastport, and is well known world-wide as a fulcrum point of the sailing and general boating communities. The Eastport peninsula is bound by the Chesapeake Bay, Spa Creek and Back Creek, fostering the neighborhood's functionality for boaters, maritime businesses and those who simply love the proximity to the water. The neighborhood features historic sites, well maintained homes, tidy gardens, a well developed community feel along with the convenience of excellent dining, shopping and entertainment all within walking distance.

The home sits at the portion of the Eastport peninsula closest to the Chesapeake Bay. The water is within a block in multiple directions. Nearby homes are a mix of traditional Eastport styles, along with newly constructed and substantially updated homes. The home is about two blocks from both the Eastport Yacht Club and Annapolis Maritime Museum, and is a short 8 blocks from the Spa Creek Bridge (6th Street/Compromise Street) into Downtown Annapolis and the City Dock.
