LOCATION & DIRECTIONS:

6112 Maywood Avenue is situated in the Dixon Hill neighborhood of Mount Washington in northern Baltimore City.  Dixon Hill, named after architect Thomas Dixon, is a suburban village dating to 1856.  Dixon Hill and Mount Washington were one of Baltimore's first commuter rail suburbs and remain so today.  Neighborhood homes are of Victorian age and design.  Dixon Hill homes rarely change hands and often stay in families for generations.

Mature trees, lush landscaping, curving roadways and terraced lots add to the charm of Dixon Hill. The neighborhood is within walking distance of the Johns Hopkins at Mount Washington-DLA Piper campus, near Mount Washington Village shops and restaurants, Mt. Washington Elementary School, Whole Foods and neighborhood services.  Dixon Hill is a ten minute commute to downtown Baltimore via the Jones Falls Expressway (I-83) and fifteen minutes by light rail.  The Baltimore Beltway (I-695) is about three miles north.
