Ranchleigh is a single family home subdivision situated between Pikesville and Mt. Washington in central Baltimore County.  Located just north of the Baltimore City line, neighborhood homes have been much sought after since their construction in the 1950s.  Also known for its alphabetical streets, original Ranchleigh houses are considered by many to have been constructed to a higher standard than similar homes in surrounding neighborhoods.

Ranchleigh's suburban location is minutes from employment centers in Downtown Baltimore and the surrounding metropolitan area, via the nearby Baltimore Beltway (I-695) and Jones Falls Expressway (I-83 South).  Community shopping and numerous restaurants are within a five minute drive.  According to the BCPS web site, nearby public schools are Summit Park Elementary, Pikesville Middle and Pikesville High.
